My name is Paris Jewell. I am an artist living in the Appalachians of North Carolina.

I am a mixed media painter exploring consciousness. My time based collages include paintings made over a period of years. This becomes a method to have conversations with my past, present, and future selves. To witness, to cope with, to pause the passage of time. I cut out and arrange paintings, vintage print media, and my photography to create works of femme surrealism. This time-capsule-esque ephemera becomes a visual diary of allegorical meaning-making. Commenting on our collective perceptions of individualism, identity, motherhood, and climate change.
